Colour In My Shorts

By ari - October 05, 2013

More Sew Fab sewing? You betcha. Today I bring you Vinnie's Colouring-In Shorts!

The fabric is TIDNY that I picked up from Ikea last weekend. It's a heavier fabric, almost like a canvas, but works really well for some tough kiddie shorts! As soon as I saw the fabric I knew right away I wanted to make Vincent some jeans or shorts that he could colour in. Since it's so hot here, and the kid is in need of shorts, I made another pair of the Peek-a-boo Pattern Shop's Skinny Jeans as shorts!

He helped me choose which part of the fabric he wanted on his shorts. I can't wait until he colours them in! I plan on making many more of these jeans shorts for him; they suit him really well, and I make them up in the 4T for him out of woven fabric instead of fabric with a bit of stretch and they work really well for him. I always get him to squat down in them, to make sure that they're not too tight and 'nothing' hurts down there.

This was the last time we ever get to take photos in our house! It is sold, we've officially moved out, and we have only 2 weeks and 2 days until we can move into our very own house out in the country ^_^

This pattern + 25 others, for less than $2 a pattern! YEH
